August 25, 2004 -- There are so many worthy charities out there and Daniels Wood Land Inc. wants to do its part as a small, yet growing company (www.danielswoodland.com for the U.S. and www.danielswoodland.ca for Canada). International also a strong focus.

Daniels Woodland Inc. is looking for Daniels Wood Land Inc. Tree House requests from 501(c)3 charities who want to raise community awareness of their charitable organization. Specifically:

1. 501(c)3 registered with the IRS
2. Have a main mission statement to assist children
3. Prominent Web Site
4. National in Scope
5. Looking To Co-Promote
6. Have volunteer staff to be available at the Daniels Wood Land Inc. Tree house to have fun

Once reviewed, the most deserving (no set number, although finite) will receive a Daniels Wood Land Inc. Tree House placed in a high traffic area that the charity arranged (could be co-operated based on location).

About Daniels Wood Land Inc:
We already have a history of being good corporate citizens as have previously donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and to the deserving Walswick Family highlighted on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

We only use recycled logs! The only other situation in which we acquire a log is when its alternative fate would either be a trip to a local landfill or firewood cutter. We continuously look for ways to be environmentally responsible.

Clubhouses weigh anywhere from 1,100-1,600 lbs. Most logs weigh about 2,500-3,500 lbs. Some normal size logs can weigh as much as 7,000 lbs. The heaviest log we ever brought in weighed 26,000 lbs!

Each log is different, but they are typically 4' in diameter and 6' tall. A complete tree house is about 14' tall.

We primarily use oak, pine and eucalyptus trees. Each kind works equally well. We find them all over the central coast of California.
